The first and hopefully last blizzard of 2013 is at our doorsteps.  Are you prepared?  2011 was a tough year.  Thousands of homes were affected by ice dams which subsequently caused water damages, causing thousands of dollars in damage per house! This can all be prevented by clearing off your roof.  Ice dams occur when melting water refreezes and lifts your shingles.  Then when the snow on top starts to melt, it runs under the shingles and enters your house causing water damage.

In addition to ice dams, your roof just wasn’t intended to handle that much weight! The risk of roof collapse is real, especially with structures like sheds.  And decks aren’t safe either.
